Staff Appreciation Week: April 12-16, 2021

Staff Appreciation TW 3.30.jpg

Dear Parents,

Each year, parents, Directors, and the Board of Trustees of the Child Educational Center acknowledge our loving and dedicated staff through the naming and celebrating of a Staff Appreciation Week. This year has certainly been a trying one, but we hope that the CEC has been an oasis of consistency and joy for you and your family as we have made this journey together. To participate in this special week, we invite you to join us in acknowledging our staff members by bringing flowers, notes, or small treats of appreciation throughout the week.

The following are ideas of how you can participate:

Notes to Staff: All too often, in the rush of the day, we may not have time to express our genuine appreciation to the teachers for being the ones who love, nurture, and teach our children when we are not with them. Writing a note of appreciation is a wonderful way to share affirming thoughts with teachers, administrative staff, or directors. Your notes do not have to be long to be meaningful. A note can be to an individual or a group such as all the teachers in a particular room or at a site. Your Room Parent will be providing you with additional information, so please look for their communications to you.

Flowers: We also encourage parents and children to bring a flower or bouquet during the week to help make the rooms look festive and beautiful. Simple and from your garden would be lovely, as would flowers that are purchased. We will have plenty of vases on hand so please do not feel the need to buy one.

Treats: Due to Health Department guidance, any edible treats should be individually packaged or sealed.

Banners: This year, the Room Parent for your child’s group will plan the banner since we will have to forgo gathering for banner-making parties.

With heartfelt appreciation for your support of the staff,

Tashon, Lisa, Ellen and Allegra
